- That this combination of teams to be called the LEAMINGTON WINTER POOL LEAGUE.
- Blackball rules will be used.
- The League will scrutinise all team sheets & decide in which Division Teams are placed.
- 2 points will be awarded for a win, 1 point for a draw.
- Each match to consist of 10 legs. 6 in Set One, 4 in Set Two. No player can play more than one leg per set. Matches must start at 8pm sharp; the 1st leg may be claimed after 10 minutes (8.10pm), 2nd after a further 10 minutes (8.20pm) and the match after a further 10 minutes (8.30pm) if the opposition fail to appear. Legs must be continuous throughout the match (I.e. No more than 5 minutes between legs).
- Home Captain to put down the players name 1st in legs 1, 3, 5, 7 & 9. Away Captain in legs 2, 4, 6, 8 & 10.
- Home Team will referee legs 1, 3, 5, 7 & 9. Away Team in legs 2, 4, 6, 8 & 10.
- The captain must ensure that each player signs the SCORE CARD. Any missing signature (s) will result in the loss of that leg (s) and a £2.00 fine. Any player who signs against another players name will be banned for 2 years with immediate effect. Also, the team will lose the match 10-0.
- The League will scrutinise all score cards.
- ANY captain can cancel a fixture providing they give a minimum 7 days notice to the opposing captain (unless the fixture falls between League Week 16 and 18, then special permission needs to be obtained from the committee), if the notice period given is less than 7 days and both captains agree mutually to postpone then that will be accepted by the committee, if a captain refuses to cancel and the notice given is less than 7 days then the fixture MUST be played.
- If a team resigns from the League in the 1st Half of the season, all results will be void. If resignation occurs in the 2nd Half, then the 1st Half results stand, but the 2nd Half results will be void.
- Teams that drop out of the League during the season must pay a £30.00 bond on re-application to re-join the League. This bond will be refunded at the end of the season if all fixtures are fulfilled.
- All players signing for a team must pay a £3.00 fee. Players signing for two or more teams will be banned for that season.
- Late signings are accepted (in accordance with Rule 14), subject to a seven day waiting period. Applications for Late Signings must be accompanied with the Players Full Name, Address, Contact Number & Signature along with the £3.00 signing on fee. Players can transfer to another team only once during a season, but not to a team from a lower division.
- The Transfer Window will run from League Week 7 up to & including League Week 10 only.
- The HOME TEAM CAPTAIN will be responsible for providing the score card. Both Captains must sign the score card & the WINNING CAPTAIN must return the score card no later than 8pm Sundays. In the event of a draw the HOME TEAM CAPTAIN must return the score card. If you return a score card late, a fine of £5.00 can be issued to the offending team and they will receive a verbal warning. Failure to adhere to the late card warning and the repeat offender will be fined £5, docked 2 league points and face possible expulsion from the league.
- SCORE CARDS to be returned no later than 8pm the Sunday following a League Match. Return to the POOL LEAGUE POST BOX, which is situated in the Lounge of the Railway Inn, Clemens Street, Leamington Spa. Loss of scorecard will incur a 10-0 defeat to the winning team who were responsible for the card, £5 fine and two league points deducted.
- The League has absolute power to expel any team or individual for persistent or serious breach (s) of the rules or non-payment of fines. Any team or individual, who is found to have brought the league into disrepute by their behaviour / conduct during games played throughout the season, will be dealt with by the committee accordingly. This may result in points loss for their team, or the player / Team being expelled from the league.
- All Cups & Shields remain the property of the League & must be returned upon request. Any Cup/Shield that is lost or damaged must be either replaced or repaired by the holder of the said prize.
- Any matters arising which are not covered by these rules will be dealt with by the League.
- ALL RULES MUST BE STRICTLY ADHERED TO & EACH PLAYER IS REQUIRED TO READ THE RULES CAREFULLY AS A PLEA OF IGNORANCE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
