1. The combination of teams to be called the LEAMINGTON & DISTRICT POOL LEAGUE.
2. Blackball rules will be used.
3. The League will scrutinise all team sheets & decide in which Division Teams are placed.
4. 2 points will be awarded for a win, 1 point for a draw.
5. Each match to consist of 10 legs. 6 in Set One, 4 in Set Two. No player can play more than one leg per set. Matches must start at 8pm sharp; the 1st leg may be claimed after 10 minutes (8.10pm), 2nd after a further 10 minutes (8.20pm) and the match after a further 10 minutes (8.30pm) if the opposition fail to appear. Legs must be continuous throughout the match (I.e. No more than 5 minutes between legs).
6. Home Captain to put down the players name 1st in legs 1, 3, 5, 7 & 9. Away Captain in legs 2, 4, 6, 8 & 10.
7. Home Team will referee legs 1, 3, 5, 7 & 9. Away Team in legs 2, 4, 6, 8 & 10.
8. A Lag will be used in each Leg to determine which player has the choice of whether to break or not.
9. The Captain must ensure that each player PRINTS and signs the SCORE CARD. Any missing signature (s), ineligible player or illegible name will result in the loss of that leg (s) and a £2.00 fine. Any player who signs against another players name will be banned for 2 years with immediate effect. Also, the team will lose the match 10-0.
10. The League will scrutinise all score cards.
11. The Postponement and Re-arrangement of any fixture is NOT permitted. All League & Cup Matches must be played on the date that has been issued by the League.
12. If a team resigns from the League in the 1st Half of the season, all results will be void. If resignation occurs in the 2nd Half, then the 1st Half results stand, but the 2nd Half results will be void.
13. Teams that drop out of the League during the season must pay a £30.00 bond on re-application to re-join the League. This bond will be refunded at the end of the season if all fixtures are fulfilled.
14. The Landlords Cup and Supplementary Cup are directly linked and form one competition. The losing team in the Preliminary or First round of the Landlords Cup as applicable, will gain entry to the Supplementary Cup only if they fulfil the fixture. If any team fails to fulfil their fixture then the League fully accepts that they have no intention of continuing in the competition. Direct entry into the Supplementary Cup is not permitted, other than listed above, in fairness and the spirit of the game.
15. All players signing for a team must pay a £3.00 fee. Players signing for two or more teams will be banned for that season.
16. New signings are accepted between Week 7 and Week 10 inclusive, subject to a seven day waiting period. Applications for Late Signings must be accompanied with the Players Full Name, Address, Contact Number & Signature along with the £3.00 signing on fee. The form for this can be found in the DOWNLOADS section on the website.
17. There will be no TRANSFERS allowed, only new signings are accepted in the window.
18. SCORE CARDS - The HOME TEAM captain will be responsible for providing the score card. Both Captains must sign the score card & the WINNING CAPTAIN must return the score card no later than 8pm Sundays to the POOL LEAGUE POST BOX, which is situated in the Lounge of the Railway Inn, Clemens Street, Leamington Spa. To be returned by HAND only. Do NOT use the Postal Service.
19. SCORE CARDS - LOSS, or LATE RETURN of a scorecard will incur a 10-0 defeat to the winning team who were responsible for the card, £5 fine and two league points deducted. Any team that continually returns late score cards will face expulsion from the league.
20. Any Team failing to fulfil a League or Cup Fixture will be subject to a £5.00 fine and a 2 Point deduction from their respective League Division tally.
21. The League has absolute power to expel any team or individual for persistent or serious breach (s) of the rules or non-payment of fines. Any team or individual, who is found to have brought the league into disrepute by their behaviour / conduct during games played throughout the season, will be dealt with by the committee accordingly. This may result in points loss for their team, or the player / Team being expelled from the league.
22. Teams who Withdraw or are Expelled from the League will automatically be required to pay a £30 Fine plus their £10 Bond (if applicable) upon re-entry to the Leamington & District Pool League.
23. All Cups & Shields remain the property of the League & must be returned upon request. Any Cup/Shield that is lost or damaged must be either replaced or repaired by the holder of the said prize.
24. Any matters arising which are not covered by these rules will be dealt with by the League.
25. ALL RULES MUST BE STRICTLY ADHERED TO & EACH PLAYER IS REQUIRED TO READ THE RULES CAREFULLY AS A PLEA OF IGNORANCE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
